Mong Indigenous People achieved a major milestone. Mong Indigenous people are officially recognized by the United Nations. The distinct Mong historical trajectory is to be reconized by the international bodies along with the United nations to challenge suppression and marginalizaiton.

The Mong Indigenous people continue to be denied a voice in contemporary discourse. This ongoing silencing has led to the writing of the paper, "Mong Indigenous People: Erased from History and Excluded from Societies," which addresses the historical erasure and ethnocide experienced by the Mong people. The paper was presented at the Mass Atrocities, Environmental Degradation, and Communities' Rights Conference in 2026 & the 19th Session of the United Nation Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
